The retractable-hardtop Mazda Miata RF finally has a non-Launch Edition price. Starting at $32,390 in Club trim, the MX-5 RF will set you back $2,955 more than the similarly equipped Club Edition roadster. The base-spec MX-5 RF Club can be upgraded with Brembo brakes and BBS wheels, but that will tack an extra $3,400 onto the price. The RF Club will also come standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, but an automatic six-speed is available if you don?t like rowing your own gears.

Moving further up the options ladder, the MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring starts at $33,555 but comes with heated leather-covered seats, adaptive headlights and lane-departure warning. While the cool Brembo brake and BBS wheel package might seem unnecessarily expensive to some, the small bump in price to the Grand Touring trim will make the MX-5 RF even more daily-driver friendly. Of course, Mazda also opened up preorders of the Launch Edition RF to the public. The Launch Edition is basically a fully optioned Grand Touring, but with a special finish and some extra badges.

The retractable-hardtop Miata is a good compromise for those who want open-air cruising but more insulation and protection than the lightweight folding top. The RF only weighs 113 pounds more than the Roadster, but considering the 155-hp 2.0-liter I4, that could affect lap times.
