The car will be based on the Mazda SKYACTIV technology. There will be 2 direct-injection petrol engines without turbo-chargers. The base model will have a 1.5 L 129 bhp engine, and the North American (USA & Canada) version will have a 2.0 L 155 bhp engine. A manual shift transmission as well as an automatic transmission will be offered, both with 6 gears.
