Aloha,
I am a new owner of the MX-5 and I noticed that it has a weird engine temp issue. The gauge moves quite a bit from idle to any throttle position. I believe that it may have a stuck open thermostat (possibly even missing, who knows, I have had it for 24 hours). I have included a video link of the issue with it being ran about 10 mins at 2.5k rpm and the heater on full blast. Also, no warm air. Its 90+ here, so it should be getting warm. As you can see from the video, it fluctuates from 1/3 to 2/3 (which im guessing means its right at normal if we average it)
So my question is - Do I need to replace the T-Stat or something else?
I guess we can't post links and the 20 second video is too large :\ I guess DM me if you want the link
