Have been living in Spain last 7 years (from NE US), have a 2024 BMW R12 (motorcycle) and recently decided to buy a car to have for 2-3 day trips with the wife. Have heard nothing but good things about the MX-5, found a 2023 "Exclusive line" 2.0L with 3000km at a "reasonable" price (for here). I come from many years of Porsche ownership in the US, including over 10 in Porsche Club Racing (911 and Spec Boxster) and as a PCA National Performance Driving Instructor. Just want a car we can enjoy and not worry about reliability and gigantic repair bills (car comes with another 4 years of Mazda Factory warranty). Think it will be a good fit...?.

Hi: GaryR... WELL? Alf
MX5mania
Actually my wife drove it the 3.5 hour ride back home, her last car was a Boxster S and she loves it. It's parked as to get full comprehensive insurance (it has basic liability now) here in Spain it needs to be assessed by the insurance company to be sure there is no damage on her. We plan a short (1.5 hour each way) overnight trip this weekend, hopefully all will be settled with insurance by then.
